How to Set Up SMTP for Email via Rediffmail

Learn how to set up SMTP for Rediffmail, including the host, port, and login details.

SMTP Configurations for Free Rediff Users

• SMTP Server/Host: smtp.rediffmail.com
• SMTP Port: 25
• SMTP User Name: Your Rediff email address (e.g., [e-mail]).
• SMTP Password: Your Rediff password.

SMTP Configurations for Pro Rediff Users

• SMTP Server/Host: smtp.rediffmailpro.com
• SMTP Port: 587
• SMTP User Name: Your Rediff email address (e.g., [e-mail]).
• SMTP Password: Your Rediff password.

Additional Information

• For free users, SMTP over port 25 does not encrypt data, which might pose a security risk. It is advisable to use encrypted connections if available.
• Pro users should use port 587, which typically supports STARTTLS, a protocol that encrypts the communication.
• Ensure that SMTP access is enabled in your Rediffmail settings, as this may be disabled by default.
